Camilla Prasch

Spotlight on the artist...

Camilla Prasch is a Danish Designer who graduated from Danmarks Designskole, Spatial Design, in 1997. Her exhibitions include the solo exhibition ”Objekter til pause” (Objects for pause) at the Danish Museum of Art & Design in 2004 and “Schmuck” (Jewellery) in Munich, Germany in 2004 and 2007. In addition, Camilla has been included in several of the previous Crafts Collections: Crafts Collection 08, 09, 10 and CC+ for MoMA. Camilla Prasch’ main field is conceptual art. Her choice of materials is subordinate to the pursuit of the overriding concept. A consistent feature in her work is the way it addresses the body. The jewellery takes shape and comes to life when it is worn on the mobile, living body. She often creates ready-mades and conceptual objects for the body based on recognisable everyday objects.
